18 selection standards for pressure reducing valves

18 selection standards for pressure reducing valves

Principle one

Within the given range of spring pressure level, the outlet pressure can be continuously adjusted between the maximum value and the minimum value of the pressure reducing valve, and there shall be no jamming and abnormal vibration;

Principle 2

For the soft-sealed pressure reducing valve, there shall be no leakage within the specified time; for the metal-sealed pressure reducing valve, the leakage shall not be greater than 0.5% of the maximum flow;

Principle three

When the outlet flow changes, the outlet pressure deviation value of the direct acting type is not more than 20%, and the pilot type is not more than 10%;

Principle Four

When the inlet pressure changes, the deviation of the outlet pressure of the direct-acting type is not more than 10%, and that of the pilot-operated type is not more than 5%;

Principle Five

Usually, the pressure after the valve of the pressure reducing valve should be less than 0.5 times the pressure before the valve;

Principle 6

The pressure reducing valve has a wide range of applications and can be used on equipment and pipelines for steam, compressed air, industrial gas, water, oil and many other liquid media. Flow or volume flow representation;

Principle Seven

Bellows direct acting pressure reducing valve is suitable for low pressure, medium and small diameter steam medium;

Principle 8

The membrane direct-acting pressure reducing valve is suitable for medium and low pressure, medium and small diameter air and water media;

Principle Nine

Pilot piston type pressure reducing valve is suitable for steam, air and water media of various pressures, diameters and temperatures. If it is made of stainless acid-resistant steel, it can be suitable for various corrosive media;

Principle 10

Pilot bellows type pressure reducing valve, suitable for low pressure, medium and small diameter steam, air and other media;

Principle Eleven

Pilot film type pressure reducing valve, suitable for low pressure, medium pressure, medium and small diameter steam or water and other media;

Principle Twelve

The fluctuation of the inlet pressure of the pressure reducing valve should be controlled within 80% to 105% of the given value of the inlet pressure. If it exceeds this range, the performance in the early stage of pressure reduction will be affected;

Principle Thirteen

Usually, the pressure after the valve of the pressure reducing valve should be less than 0.5 times the pressure before the valve;

Principle Fourteen

Each spring of the pressure reducing valve is only applicable within a certain outlet pressure range, and the spring should be replaced if it exceeds the range;

Principle fifteen

In the case where the working temperature of the medium is relatively high, the pilot piston type pressure reducing valve or the pilot bellows type pressure reducing valve is generally used;

Principle Sixteen

When the medium is air or water (liquid), it is generally advisable to use a direct-acting membrane type pressure reducing valve or a pilot membrane type pressure reducing valve;

Principle Seventeen

When the medium is steam, pilot piston type or pilot bellows type pressure reducing valve should be used;

Principle Eighteen

For the convenience of operation, adjustment and maintenance, the pressure reducing valve should generally be installed on the horizontal pipeline.
