Precautions for valve application in fire pipeline

1. When the outlet pipe diameter of the fire pump is greater than 300mm, a valve with a single manual opening and closing function should not be used. The valve should have obvious opening and closing signs, and the remote control valve should have the function of quick opening and closing, and the sealing should be reliable.

2. The normally open or normally closed valve shall be provided with a locking device, and the control valve and the valve that needs to be opened and closed shall be provided with an open and close indicator. The opening and closing signals of the control valves participating in the linkage control of the remote control gun system should be transmitted to the system control room.

3. The valve on the dry powder pipeline should be a ball valve, and its diameter must be consistent with the inner diameter of the pipeline.

4. The pipeline should be made of corrosion-resistant materials or the outer wall of the pipeline should be treated with anti-corrosion.

5. A flushing interface should be set up in the appropriate position of the pipeline using foam liquid, foam mixture or seawater. An automatic exhaust valve should be provided at the top of the pipe section where air may be trapped.

6. A bypass test interface should be set up after the foam proportion mixing device.
